How to Paint a Butterfly with a Flower in Watercolor

Learn how to successfully paint a butterfly in its natural setting in watercolor. Bivenne demonstrates each stage of the painting process and gives plenty of individual attention. All sorts of exciting watercolor painting techniques are shown and discussed. An ability to create a contour (outline) drawing from a reference provided by the instructor is very helpful but unnecessary. Student may also use their own reference. In-person workshop. In-person classes
location: Portland, CT
These are six-week sessions of on-going classes. There are occasional breaks between sessions (note unusual 2022 summer schedule). Concentration is on themes from nature, like seasonal landscapes, flowers, birds, pets and other animals. All stages of the watercolor painting process are demonstrated and discussed, with opportunity to practice and apply the techniques, and (nearly) complete a painting each week.
